7 Layer Dip



32 ounces refried beans

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspooon garlic powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

2 cups guacamole

2 cups sour cream

2 cups salsa

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup sliced green onions

1/2 cup sliced olives


In a large bowl, stir together refried beans, salt, garlic powder, cumin and cayenne. Mix it well so that the seasonings are well distributed.

In a 9x13 pan or 3 quart casserole dish, spread the bean mixture in the bottom of the pan from edge to edge, corner to corner, covering the entirety of the bottom.

Top the bean layer with the guacamole.

Top the guacamole layer with sour cream and make sure to completely cover the guacamole layer because that will keep the avocado from oxidizing and turning brown.

Top the sour cream layer with your favorite salsa.

Sprinkle cheese on top of the salsa layer, then add green onions and olives.
