The story is as follows: If housewife look out window & saw preacher approaching mountain on his horse, she could bring a batch of these biscuits in the time it would take to get to the front door.
* Ingredients :
° 1/2 cup butter 1 stick
° 2 cups of sugar
° 1/2 cup milk
° 4 tablespoons cocoa
° 1 cup creamy peanut butter
° 3 cups instant oats
° 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
* Methods
In a medium saucepan, add butter, sugar, milk, and cocoa. Put it on a medium heat.
While you wait for the mixture to boil, measure out the peanut butter and oats and have a jar of vanilla on hand. (Once you start this process - you have to work fast.
Next, bring the mixture to a simmer in a saucepan - once it is completely simmering - boil for 1 minute 15 seconds.
After that, remove it from the heat immediately.
Add peanut butter while stirring. Add oats - stir. Add the vanilla, stirring.Putting on baking sheets lined with parchmentpaper.
Let it cool about 30 minutes or to firm.
